Biography
Prof. Dr. Minakshi Jain, an expert in Landscape Architecture and Sustainable Development, holds a foundational background in Architecture. Serving as Professor-HAG since 2016 and Professor since 2007 at NIT Hamirpur, she has held key roles including Head, Dept. of Architecture; Dean Planning & Development (2012–15); and Dean R&C (2022–24). She was Director of SPA Vijayawada (2016–2021).
Author of two acclaimed books—Landscape Architecture: History, Ecology and Patterns and Architecture of Ridges and Valleys – Beliefs and Realities—she has published 40 research papers, 12 in Scopus-indexed journals (Springer, Elsevier, etc.).
She chaired international conferences at NIT Hamirpur (2010) and SPA Vijayawada (2021), served as Chief Editor of IJPAS, and contributed to review committees for CCA Chandigarh, IDR 2017, and GIAN. A long-standing reviewer for Elsevier and Springer journals, she also advised on Andhra Pradesh Capital Development.
Awards include Best Faculty (NIT Hamirpur, 2007), A3 Foundation Research Award (2006), and Distinguished Alumnus (SPA Delhi, 2019).
