Biography
Dr Amruta Amey Kakirde, an Architect and Urban Planner, is an academic and urban planning professional with over 14 years of experience. She currently serves at COEP Technological University, Pune. Her work focuses on advancing resilient, walkable, and people-centric urban environments. Dr Kakirde has contributed extensively through publications in reputed indexed journals and presentations at national and international forums. She engages with the academic community as a reviewer for leading journals and conferences, and has served as a session chair, contributing to scholarly discourse. Her professional engagements include capacity building, training programmes for government officials, lectures for professionals, and workshops for students. She has mentored undergraduate and postgraduate students in thesis work, competitive examinations, and academic competitions, and delivered sessions for MPSC and GATE aspirants. She has coordinated professional development courses and participated in collaborative research, including projects with IIT Bombay, bringing a perspective to urban planning education and research.
