Biography
Mohd Faizul Bin Mohd Sabri is a Professor and the Deputy Dean of Research & Innovation at Universiti Malaya’s Faculty of Engineering. A registered Professional Engineer and ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer, he has held significant leadership roles, including President of the Malaysian Thermoelectric Society and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He earned his PhD in Nanomechanics Engineering from Tohoku University, Japan, and has furthered his global academic footprint as an Adjunct Professor in India and a visiting researcher at the University of Cambridge. His research expertise spans thermoelectric materials, lead-free solder alloys, and MEMS, resulting in over 215 ISI-indexed journal articles and 8,000 citations. Professor Faizul has successfully supervised more than 35 postgraduate students. Beyond his research, he is a dedicated contributor to the global engineering community, serving as a keynote speaker at international conferences and a judge for the QS Reimagine Education Awards.
