Biography

Dr. Sanjay Nalbalwar earned his Ph.D. in 2008 from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. With ~35 years of teaching and 20 years of research experience, he is Professor and Head of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Maharashtra. His research spans Signal & Image Processing, Multirate/Wavelets, Stochastic Modelling, and Quantum Computing. He has authored ~150 conference papers and 125+ journal papers, four books (including one by All India Council for Technical Education translated into 12 Indian languages), and holds two patents (two more filed). A Fellow of IE(I) and IETE, Senior Member of IEEE, and member of ISTE and CSI, he has organized 6 Springer-supported international and 4 national conferences, edited proceedings, and conducted 25+ FDPs/workshops. He has guided 20 Ph.D. and 50+ PG students and currently supervises 12 scholars, earning multiple national/state awards. He serves on editorial boards (IETE Journal, JAET, others), reviews for leading journals, and edits Springer’s AISC series. At DBATU, he has held key roles including Dean (Academics), Director (ICT), Director & CEO (Innovation /Incubation), and IQAC Director, contributing to NEP 2020 implementation across 100+ institutes. He has served as performance auditor (NIT Kurukshetra, IET Bundelkhand), TEQIP-III mentor, and expert for AICTE, UGC, NAAC, etc., and led translation of ~90 technical books into Marathi.
