Biography

Dr. Shantanu Acharya is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at The ICFAI University, Tripura, India. He received his Ph.D. in Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala in 2016, specializing in renewable energy systems. His research interests include renewable energy technologies, hybrid energy systems, wind and solar power generation, energy storage, sustainable transportation, and assistive technologies.

Dr. Acharya has authored numerous research articles in reputed SCI-indexed journals, like Energy Conversion and Management, Sustainable Energy Technologies Assessments, etc. He holds several granted patents and registered designs in the fields of renewable energy and sustainable engineering. His recent work includes the development of low-cost solar-powered mobility solutions and innovative hybrid renewable energy systems.

He has successfully supervised doctoral research, led externally funded research projects, and served as a reviewer for leading international journals. His contributions to renewable energy research have been recognized through several awards, including the RACE India Award for Emerging Scientist in Renewable Energy and the Devbhoomi Rashtriya Ratan Puraskar for Distinguished Research Contribution.
