Biography
I am an Assistant Professor at the Aeronautics Institute of Technology (ITA), Fortaleza Campus, Brazil, working in Energy Engineering and Materials Science. I hold a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering and have an interdisciplinary academic background in biology, chemistry, polymers, and biomaterials. My research interests include polymeric and bio-based materials, hydrogels, nanomaterials, biomaterials, and sustainable materials for advanced applications. My previous research has focused on polymeric biomaterials and non-viral gene delivery systems, particularly PVA-based hydrogels for controlled DNA delivery. Currently, I am expanding my research toward sustainable materials for electrochemical energy storage, including bio-based polymers, biomass-derived carbon materials, gel electrolytes, and supercapacitors. I also have international research experience at the University of Coimbra, Portugal, and a strong interest in interdisciplinary and international scientific collaboration.
