Biography

Dr. Shashi Saxena is currently working as HOD in the School of Architecture, LNCT University, Bhopal (MP). Having done her Graduation Course of B. Architecture in 2000 from NIT Raipur(Chhattisgarh) and subsequent post-graduation course of M. Computer Management from Barkatullah University, Bhopal, extended with Post graduation Diploma in Infrastructure management from MIT-SDE Pune, Maharashtra in the years 2004 and 2019 respectively; In the year 2020, she received her Doctor of Philosophy degree from MANIT, Bhopal (MP), with a thesis on "Strategies for Performance of Top-Lit Atriums in Optimizing Visual Comfort and Daylight for Commercial Buildings: A Case of Bhopal." She finished numerous residential projects throughout a career that lasted about two decades, including exterior and interior work. She has over 23 years of extensive professional and academic expertise in her field and has been actively involved in both the academic and professional worlds. She has excelled for the past three years as the head of the School of Architecture at LNCTU. Being a pro-active and dynamic individual and a strong inclination and dexterity needed to academia, she is an important member of many professional and social organizations and bodies.
