Biography

Dr. Uttam Jadhav is currently the Dean of the School of Liberal Arts and Head, Department of English at Sanjay Ghodawat University (SGU) in Kolhapur, India. As the Dean of Academics (Former) and the Director of the Centre for Advanced Learning and Teaching (CALT@SGU) at SGU, he has played a key role in shaping the university's academic programs and ensuring their quality. He has also held several other administrative positions at the University, including serving as a member of the Board of Management, Academic Council, Chairman of the Faculty of Arts etc.
In addition to his administrative duties, Dr. Jadhav is a highly regarded scholar with a focus on gender and masculinity studies. His research has made important contributions to the field of gender studies.
Dr. Jadhav is an outcome-oriented trainer and has trained more than 5000 teaching and support staff in various areas. He has chaired sessions and was a keynote speaker at various conference.
Currently he is translating Effective Technical Communication Book under AICTE’s Technical Book Translation Scheme.
He is a reviewer for the Journal of Learning for Development published by Commonwealth of Learning, Canada. He worked as a translator with the BBC London.
He was awarded the Outstanding Academic Award 2018 by Sanjay Ghodawat University, Kolhapur, and was considered for the International Institute for Social and Economic Reforms (R) Bangalore's Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam National Award in 2018.
