Biography

Dr.R.Senthil Prabhu works as Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutics, College of Pharmacy, Madurai Medical College (Government Institution), Madurai – 625020, Tamil Nadu, South India. Dr. R. Senthil Prabhu received B.Pharm., and M.Pharm., from K.M. College of Pharmacy, Madurai, affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai in the years 1994 and 1996. He pursued PhD in Pharmaceutics from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University. He has almost 27 years of teaching, research, and industrial experience. He served as Director, Sri Raghavendra Pharma (Whole sale Pharmacy) from 1999 – 2002, SR Bio Future Labs (Manufacture of herbal products) from 2002 – 2006, and Managing Director for AB – Innovative Software Private Limited (2010 – 2016). He has guided more than 40 M.Pharm students and recognised as PhD guide under The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University. He is actively involved as a scientific committee member for various universities. He has published more than 25 research papers in reputed journals, 5 design patents, and 6 formulation patents to his credit. He has been certified as an expert reviewer with AEIC (Academic Exchange Information Centre) for Springer, Elsevier, SAGE, and Taylor and Francis group of journals and in editorial board of 2 national journals.
In addition to research, Dr.R.Senthil Prabhu was instrumental in teaching various courses related to pharmaceutics in B.Pharm / M.Pharm curriculum. Senthil Prabhu’s research is focused on development of novel drug delivery systems such as nanoparticles and bioconjugates, development of newer excipients in designing novel drug delivery, currently focused on applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Nano things (IoNT) and Machine Learning ( ML) in health care systems.
