Biography
Dr. S. Babu has been teaching soil fertility and weed management at the Faculty of Agriculture, Annamalai University for over a decade. He took UG, PG and Ph.D. degrees from Annamalai University. After graduation, he worked as Project Officer at Monsanto India Ltd., Program coordinator at All India Radio, Puducherry and Training Associate (Agronomy) at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Krishnagiri. Then he joined as a lecturer in 2004 in the Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture. He has participated in several national and international conferences, seminars and workshops. He has 20 years of teaching and 19 years of research experience and published 28 research papers in various national and international scientific journals. He also published more than 27 popular articles in various newspapers and magazines. His specialization is Soil fertility & Nutrient and Weed management. He has been serving as a state-level resource person, giving more than 120 + invited lectures to NGOs, the state Agricultural Department in Tamil Nadu & Puducherry, KVK and Agricultural colleges.
