Biography

Dr. S. K. Panigrahi, has an UG degree in Civil Engineering from Utkal University, a PG degree in Structural Engineering from NIT Rourkela, and a PhD from IIT Kharagpur. Currently, he is working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, VSSUT, Burla, Odisha, India.
Dr. Panigrahi has been in teaching for about 23 years. He has worked in various national and state Institutes like NIT Rourkela, NIT Hamirpur, KITS Bhubaneswar, IGIT Sarang, and finally at VSSUT since 2006. Before teaching he worked in Industry for about 2 years. Dr. Panigrahi has completed and presently working on several international, national Government sponsored projects, Industrial, and Consultancy projects. He has organized various international and national programs like conferences, workshops, faculty development programs (FDPs), and short-term courses (STCs). He reviewed quite a lot of technical papers along with chaired various technical sessions at international and national conferences. Dr. Panigrahi has 23 publications in various international and national journals of repute and conferences. He has guided 15 M Tech students, 1 PhD student and 6 PhD students are working at present. He has written and edited six books to his credit. His area of interest includes Interface Mechanics, Structural Retrofitting, Numerical Modelling of Concrete with structural mechanics application, and Structural concrete using substituting materials against natural recourses like Green Concrete
