Biography

Dr. Mohammad Harun-Ur-Rashid serves as the esteemed Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Chemistry at IUBAT—International University of Business Agriculture and Technology.
A native of Dhaka, Bangladesh, Dr. Harun-Ur-Rashid's academic journey began at the University of Dhaka, where he completed both his BS (with honors) and MS in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Technology by 2006. Dr. Harun-Ur-Rashid was awarded the prestigious Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship to pursue and complete his Doctor of Engineering by March 2010. Post his doctoral achievement, Dr. Rashid's research excellence led to two consecutive postdoctoral fellowships at Nagoya University.
A recognized expert in the fields of smart materials, nanomaterials, nanotechnology, soft materials, molecular machines, nanocomposites, nanobiomaterials, nanobiosensors, nanocomposites, and more, Dr. Rashid's prolific research output is evident in his 22+ publications, which include original articles, reviews, and book chapters. His work has graced journals of repute like Chemical Record (Q1, IF 6.935), Scientific Reports (Q1, IF 4.6), RSC Advances (Q2, IF 4.036), ChemPhysChem (Q2, IF 3.52), Current Pharmaceutical Biotechnology (Q2, IF 2.829), Topics in Catalysis (Q2, IF 2.781), Micromachines (Q2, IF 3.523), ChemistrySelect (Q2, IF 2.307, CiteScore 3.6), among others.
