Biography

Praveen Deepak is an Assistant Professor of Zoology at Magadh University, Bodh Gaya. He earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur. He later joined the Department of Zoology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, as a Junior Research Fellow and subsequently as a Senior Research Fellow. His research focused on the role of interleukin-13, a Th2 cytokine, in regulating innate and adaptive immunity in tumor-bearing hosts using BALB/c mice as an experimental model. His academic interests include Cancer Immunology and the development of experimental therapeutics for Rheumatoid Arthritis. He is particularly interested in studying the role of natural products in synovitis through laboratory and in silico approaches and their applications in translational medicine. He has published several research papers in reputed journals and contributed chapters to national and international edited book volumes.
