Biography
Born & brought up in New Delhi, India.
Completed Graduation (MBBS) & Postgraduation (MS in General Surgery and MCh & PhD in Plastic Surgery) in India.
Underwent Higher Training in Laser Surgery, Endoscopic Plastic Surgery, Aesthetic Surgery from USA and Training in Mesotherapy, Fillers from France.
Started as HOD, Department of Plastic Surgery in NGMC Medical College, SVIMS University and JIPMER with MCh Course, Regenerative Clinic, Cleft Centre and Tertiary Burn Centre.
Received 13 Fellowships including Fellowship from Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh
(FRCS-Ed), Glasgow (FRCS-Glas) & FACS (USA).
Has been Awarded 55 Awards including Oscar of Medicine International BMJ Award.
He is First in the Country in a Government Hospital to develop and start various new services
related to his specialty including ‘Centre For Cadaveric Tissue Organ Transplantation (CTOT)’, ‘3-D Printer Service’, ‘Telemedicine Clinic’, ‘Tele-OPD Service. In Past he has worked as Professor & Head of Plastic Surgery in JIPMER Puducherry (2012-2016) and Registrar (Academic) in JIPMER Puducherry (2017-2023).
At present he is working as Associate Dean (Academic), Senior Professor of Plastic Surgery and Head of IT & Telemedicine in Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), An Institute of National Importance under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOH&FW), Government of India, Puducherry, India.
