Biography
Dr. VIJAYARAJ RADHA is a dedicated professional with extensive expertise in Marine Biotechnology, holding the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Marine Biotechnology at AMET University, Chennai, India, since March 2023. In his professional journey, Dr. Vijayaraj has held significant roles, including a three-year tenure as a DBT-Project Associate-II, contributing to the "Up-Scaling Marine Fish Seed Production Using Live Feed" project sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. He has been actively involved in research areas such as Live Feed Aquaculture, Bioactive Compounds, Marine Pharmacology, and Mass Production & Utilization of Marine Plankton. Currently involved in funded research projects, Dr. Vijayaraj is the Principal Investigator for the project "High Density Copepod Live Feed Culture Technology for Augmenting Marine Finfish Seed Production," funded by DST - Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB). Additionally, he is part of a collaborative project with Liverpool John Moores University, UK, focusing on developing microtextured metals to combat biofouling. Acknowledged for his academic and research achievements, Dr. Vijayaraj has received several awards, including Best Presentation Awards for his research papers. He is actively involved in professional bodies, serving as a reviewer for reputed international journals and holding editorial board memberships.
