Biography
Dr. Nakka Surya Teja is a distinguished professor in the Department of Medical Surgical Nursing at Kiran College of Nursing in Bangalore, Karnataka. An active member of the Trained Nurses’ Association of India (TNAI), he also serves as the Chief Editor and Reviewer for the International Journal for Cardiovascular Nursing and Medical Surgical Nursing.
Dr. Surya Teja's career is decorated with numerous accolades, including the Best Teacher Award from the Sruthi College of Nursing in 2017 and the GNERF Best Teacher Award in 2022. He has been recognized for his voluntary services to patients in rural areas and those suffering from HIV/AIDS, as well as his contributions to nursing education and patient care.
He holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice/PhD in Medical Surgical Nursing from Malwanchal University, Indore, with research focusing on the quality of life among breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. He also earned an MSc in Nursing with a specialization in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgical Nursing from Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences.
Dr. Surya Teja has extensive experience in clinical research and has published numerous articles in prestigious journals. He is committed to advancing nursing practice and education, reflected in his active involvement in continuing education and various university assignments.
