Biography

Dr. Arfan Ali is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology at the College of Veterinary Science, Khanapara, Guwahati. With a deep passion for microbiology, he has significantly contributed to research and academia. His academic journey in biological sciences led to his specialization in microbiology, providing a solid foundation in microbial physiology, genetics, and their roles in animal health and disease.

Dr. Ali's teaching emphasizes a hands-on, inquiry-based approach, fostering critical engagement and practical skills in students. His diverse research interests encompass zoonotic diseases, microbial pathogenesis, antimicrobial resistance, environmental microbiology, molecular biology, and immunology. He focuses on identifying zoonotic pathogens, understanding host-pathogen interactions, exploring antimicrobial resistance mechanisms, and studying microbial processes in nutrient cycling and bioremediation.

In molecular biology and immunology, Dr. Ali investigates microbial genetics and host immune responses, aiming to develop new therapeutic approaches and vaccines. His publication record in peer-reviewed journals and active participation in professional organizations highlight his commitment to advancing microbiological knowledge.
