Biography

Short Biography

a. Qualifications: I have completed my B. Sc (Hons) and M. Sc in Geography (Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh) and Ph. D in Physical Geography (University of Hull, England). I have nearly 35 years of teaching and research experience in the different academic institutions, and doctoral and postdoctoral research experiences (with British Royal Society and British Commonwealth Fellowships) on different geomorphological and environmental issues.

b. Knowledge: I have a very good knowledge in different aspects of environmental and fluvial-geomorphological disciplines, published around 70 papers in different international and national peer-reviewed journals and books. My teaching and research works cover various issues in fluvial-geomorphological and environmental disciplines.

c. Experience: I have taught different fields of physical geography and environment. I have supervised a good number of graduate and postgraduate research students including MPhil and PhDs. I have completed many national and international collaborative inter-disciplinary researches as Project Director/Lead Partner/National Coordinator/Principal Investigator. I have visited many countries including England, France, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Egypt, Slovenia, Italy, Norway, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Nepal for academic and research purposes.
