Biography

Dr. Shireen Rashid Mohammed is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry, College of Science,
Zakho University, Duhok, Iraq. She is the Member of the Scientific, higher education, learning
and teaching and supervisory committees at the department of Chemistry. She received her
Master's in Organic Chemistry from Mosul University, Iraq. Furthermore, she completed her Ph.D.
in Organic Chemistry from the University of Bordeaux 1, France in 2014. She has 22 years of
research experience, publishing 28 papers, and supervised master's and doctorate students. She has
extensive research experience in the multidisciplinary fields of Organic Chemistry, Synthetic
Organic Chemistry, Radical Chemistry, Organometallics, Total Synthesis, Natural Product
Synthesis, and Synthetic Methodology. She is a Member of the Asian Chemical Society and the
American Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry (AJHC). She works as a reviewer and Editorial Board
member in the Oriental Journal of Chemistry.
