Pulusu Veera Shakar, M.S.
Scientist, Analytical R&D, Gilead Sciences, USA
My name is Pulusu Shakar Pulusu, and I am a Scientist in Analytical R&D at Gilead Sciences, USA. I earned my B.Sc. degree in Chemistry from Osmania University, India, in 1998, my M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry from Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, India, in 2004, and my M.S. in Analytical Chemistry from Ohio University, USA, in 2024.
Over the past two decades, I have worked with Mylan Laboratories (India), Apotex Research Pvt. Ltd. (India & Canada), Taro Pharmaceuticals (Canada), and Gilead Sciences (USA), contributing extensively to analytical research and development. My expertise lies in chromatographic and spectrometric techniques, such as RP-HPLC, UPLC, LC/MS, and GC. I specialize in nitrosamine and impurity profiling, QbD approaches, and forced degradation studies. I have authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications, which have collectively garnered 210 citations, reflecting my significant contributions to pharmaceutical analysis.
Areas of Expertise: Nitrosamines analysis, microplastics analysis, forensic spectrometry, electrochemical detection, pharmaceutical small molecule analytical method development, validations, forced degradation, QbD, and impurity profiling.
